A mainstay of Bison’s operations, he leads this diverse department that offers services within Canada, the United States & Mexico.  Since joining Bison in 2023, Raif has been an integral part of the Strategic Development within the organization.

He received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Arts degree of Economics from Queen’s University. He is also a Director of Richardson International, the Richardson Foundation, and the Siobhan Richardson Foundation.

Jamie started at Bison in November 2012, and since then has created an ever-expanding track record of success in leading our Manitoba-based operation – including dispatch, planning, LCV, local ops, night ops, customer service and customs. He has been instrumental in many successful Bison 4DX and Hoshin initiatives, and has helped develop a high performing central operations leadership team who have increased their levels of impact under Jamie’s guidance. Jamie’s responsibilities include all Bison Canada truckload operations in Western Canada and U.S.

Dave joined Bison in July 2002 after spending 10 years with Maxim Transportation Services. Dave graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1993 with an honours bachelor degree in commerce.

Dave has held various operational and maintenance roles in his time at Bison. He relocated from Winnipeg to join the Mississauga team during the summer of 2019. In his current role, Dave is responsible for all aspects of Bison’s Eastern Operations team, focused on the development and improvement of operational, customer service and Driver experience programs.

Mike joined Bison in 2016 after a distinguished career with Volvo Trucks Canada where he held various roles in the service group and as the Director of Aftermarket Sales for Canada. In addition to being a licensed Technician, Mike has a degree in business administration from York University in Toronto.

Rod joined Bison in October 2015 and is responsible for the financial operations, administration and risk management of the company. These responsibilities include the development of financial operating plans, linked metrics and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve and enhance the company’s assets, profitability and growth plan.

Rod has a master in accountancy and a bachelor of commerce degree, both from University of Manitoba. Following the completion of his CA designation at KPMG Chartered Accountants in 1996, Rod joined Manitoba Telecom Services (MTS). While there, Rod held a variety of finance positions, eventually serving as Director of Finance, where he led a variety of teams in accomplishing MTS’s financial goals.

Shelley is a Bluenoser at heart, born and raised in Kentville, NS. After a couple of post-secondary stints (Dalhousie University ’00 BA in History and Saint Mary’s University ’02 HR Management Certificate), with a brief travel break in between, Shelley began life as a «grown up» working as an Executive/Legal Assistant to the VP, Risk Management & General Counsel at Scotia Investments Limited. After about 4 years, Shelley packed her bags and made the trek across the country to Calgary where she landed her first “real” HR job at a Winnipeg based engineering firm where she stayed for about 10 months before she found her way to Bison Transport.

Shelley’s Bison journey started in September 2007, and she has never looked back. Shelley has experienced a fulfilling and progressive career starting as our first HR Coordinator based in our western region then quickly progressed throughout the HR ranks to her current role of VP, HR & People Development where she is focused on leading our people programs. Shelley has established herself as a trusted leader who willingly tackles challenges, builds solutions and is a top-notch communicator.  Curious and a life-long learner, she is quick to identify opportunities to strengthen our employee value proposition.  She also has a genuine care for our culture and commits to building future HR Programs that allow us to grow our business.

Jeff provides leadership in all areas of sales, revenue generation, marketing, strategy, branding, network analytics and team building throughout the organization, including its related companies. As a member of the company’s Executive Team since 2000, Jeff has helped grow the organization into one of North America’s leading transportation and logistics providers.

Jeff received his bachelor of administration degree from Tabor College in Kansas in 1987. Shortly after receiving his degree he joined Reimer Express Enterprises in Toronto. While there, Jeff held a variety of sales and operations positions in various divisions. In 1991, Jeff transferred to Manitoba to lead the sales and marketing team at Big Freight Systems, which he did until 1999 when he decided to join Bison Transport. Since joining Bison, Jeff’s leadership in business development has allowed Bison to become one of Canada’s premier transportation and logistics companies. In summer 2016, Jeff relocated to Mississauga, Ont. with Bison in his current position to be based in the east and continue to impact the business and its development from that location.

Doug started his career as a driver in Saskatchewan. After changing his focus to Sales, he tenured at three Top Tier Canadian Carriers, in executive roles, before settling at Bison Transport. He made the move to Bison because he saw it as an opportunity to work for a North American carrier that is leading the market in many segments, has a great culture and genuinely cares about its people.

Helen Kasdorf, FCPA, FCA is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and received her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from University of Manitoba.

She joined Bison in November 2019 and is currently the Chief Administration Officer for Bison USA.

Helen has had a lengthy career, having spent 25 years at Great-West Life in a variety of senior roles, including Chief Financial Officer (Canada), Chief Internal Auditor (Global) and Chief Human Resource Officer (Canada). Outside of work, Helen is Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for Shock Trauma Air Rescue Services (STARS), is a Director for Manitoba Blue Cross and is involved in other community organizations.

Steve is a member of the Manitoba Trucking Association.

Brad is an engineer by trade and has considerable experience in the IT field. He had spent his last couple decades at a senior level with Canada Life where he has led a variety of teams and managed very large projects. Brad has a significant amount of excitement for all the interesting technology that is emerging in the industry.

He is based out of Winnipeg and manages our Continuous Improvement, Software Development and IT Infrastructure teams.
